Will ours be the only wedding at your venue on our wedding day?
Yes, depending on the number of people in your party & the package option that you select
For parties: 2 to 20 persons: We serve dinner to your table, (a la carte service). Part of the restaurant is open for other diners. If you wish to have exclusive use of the restaurant we have a modest venue hire charge.
For parties: 20 to 30 persons: We serve dinner to your table, (a la carte service) the restaurant will be closed & for your exclusive use. There is a venue hire charge.
For parties: 30 to 60 persons: Dinner is served as a stylish buffet. You have exclusive use of the location. There is a modest venue hire charge.

Do you provide legal weddings?
Yes, we offer both legal (civil) weddings & symbolic ceremonies.
How far in advance should I book?
To ensure that you can book The Five Islands at the perfect time for you, we suggest that a year in advance works well. This allows you to decide upon your ceremony theme, local accommodation, invite your guests so they have time to book their holidays & make their own travel arrangements & are able to RSVP to you in plenty of time ahead of the event.
What is the best month to have a ceremony on Koh Samui?
Koh Samui is a beautiful place to get married at any time of the year! It Is a good idea to take a look at some year round weather charts & decide which months will suit you & your guests in terms of heat, humidity & rainfall.
The Five Islands really has a lot to offer as the event will take place at the most comfortable time of day, which is late afternoon when there are spectacular sunsets continuing into the cool of the evening.
Can I choose the flowers?
Yes, we are pleased to have you make your own selection from flowers in season, including types & colour.
Is there a rehearsal?
Yes ideally 3 days ahead of the event we should sit & confirm all of the details of the forthcoming event. This will include a walk through of the day & our gift to you, and a Pre-Wedding Menu Tasting for the Bride & Groom at The Five Islands Restaurant of a tester of the menu selected by you for your event.
Is there a charge for venue hire?
This depends on the number of guests. For exclusive use of the restaurant, & for parties over 20 persons we close to other guests. We do need to charge for this.

What is the booking deposit?
Secure your special day with a 30% deposit, when you initially book. We cannot confirm any reservation without this deposit.
When is the balance of the payment due?
Please pay the balance of monies 3 months (90 days) before the event.
What happens if we have to cancel?
In case of cancellation our refund policy is as follows:
Cancellation within a month of the event (30 days) no refund
Cancellation within 2 months of the event (60 days) 50% refund
Cancellation within 3 months of the event (90 days) 60% refund
When do you ask for final numbers?
4 weeks ahead of the event.
What is the menu based upon?
A comprehensive menu including Thai Fusion cuisine tailored to suit your palate.
What do you suggest is the best way to manage the beverages & bar bill?
One very usual way is that the bride & groom set a budget on drinks being sold a la carte. Charges will be based upon actual consumption & menu prices. Our staff will advise you before the budget is exceeded.
What time do you offer an alcohol license until?
Usually midnight, or extended as previously arranged.
What time do you insist the celebration finishes by?

Do you allow us to supply our own wine, and what do you charge for corkage?
You are welcome to provide your own wine; there is a corkage fee. Please check our information pages for fee details
Do you cater for children?
Yes, we welcome children & under 12’s can enjoy the event free of charge, just let us know how many there will be so that we can cater for them. The Five Islands is situated in a very secluded area with a quiet beach, perfect for little ones to run around play in the sand, whilst you relax! We do provide some toys & games for help entertain them.
Do you offer a wedding co-ordinator, planning service?

Is it possible to get a religious ceremony on site?
Yes.
Is your venue licensed to carry out civil weddings?
Yes.
Does The Five Islands have Disabled access?
Yes, the area is flat. Please do contact us to discuss your particular needs, so that we can do as much as possible to accommodate them.
Are rooms available for overnight accommodation, how many?
There are 3 wonderful resorts with minutes walk along the shoreline with accommodation to suit every budget.
